Why you should consider Cooper BT

Cooper BT revives the iconic Cooper Black typeface, originally commissioned in the early 20th century. Bitstream’s expanded family includes 11 styles from light to black with italics, making it a rich resource for impactful headlines and display work. Its chunky letterforms and approachable shapes give designs a nostalgic yet commanding presence.

Visual character

This display font features thick strokes with soft, rounded terminals that lend a friendly yet assertive character to text. The strong contrast between heavy and medium weights enhances visual hierarchy, while the playful curves soften the overall boldness, making it well-suited for eye-catching sections without overwhelming the reader.

Best use cases

• Poster titles requiring strong vintage flair
• Packaging labels that benefit from approachable boldness
• Logo design demanding memorable heavyweight style

Font pairing ideas

• Pair with a clean sans serif for contrast, balancing Cooper BT’s bold vintage curves with modern minimalism.
• Use a simple serif font for body text to complement Cooper BT’s display impact while maintaining readability.
