Panon Expanded – Wide Geometric Sans Serif

Panon Expanded is a wide geometric sans serif by Typeface Design Studio, available through YouWorkForThem. Its expanded proportions combine bold power with a playful edge, helping logos, posters, sports graphics, and contemporary brand systems make an immediate statement.

About Panon Expanded

Panon Expanded brings an open, wide stance to a geometric sans-serif framework. The family has five weights and a variable option, moving from thin, clean lines to more assertive headline settings. Its open letterforms and balanced construction make it suitable for both stylish display work and orderly digital or print applications.

What Makes It Stand Out

• Expanded geometric sans serif proportions with a playful character
• Five weights plus a variable option for adaptable headline systems
• 360 glyphs per style with alternates, ligatures, fractions, and localized forms
• A contemporary alternative to older Eurostile-style wide sans designs

Best Uses for Panon Expanded

Use Panon Expanded for logos, sports graphics, posters, modern covers, corporate branding, editorial design, and digital campaigns. The wide construction gives short headlines a confident, cosmopolitan silhouette, while lighter styles can support more minimal identity and layout work.

Design Notes

Let the width create the impact. Panon Expanded is strongest when it has room to breathe, especially in shorter headlines and large display settings. Use variable weight to tune the level of energy, and pair it with a narrower neutral sans serif for longer supporting content.
