The Drake is a vintage-inspired sans serif by KometFlicker, drawing on hand-painted French cafe and shopfront signage. Its Base, Fill, and Shadow styles can be layered to create a two-color shadow treatment.
Why You Should Consider It
The three-style system gives designers a way to build more depth and distinction than a single display face can provide.
Visual Character
The Drake balances nostalgic signage cues with clean sans-serif structure. Its layered construction is the main visual feature, with a bold shadow effect available when Base and Fill are combined.
Best Use Cases
Use it for headlines, packaging, shop-style branding, posters, and signage that calls for a vintage storefront character.
Font Pairing Ideas
Pair it with a quiet text sans serif or a compact serif for body copy so the layered lettering remains the focal point.
Font Features
The family includes Base, Fill, and Shadow styles intended for layered color effects.
